Welcome to Lumear

Lumear shows you how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Bing describe your brand — and tells you exactly what to fix so they pick you instead of your competitors.

These docs cover everything from your first run to reading the dashboard. If you're brand new, start with Getting started. If you've already got a brand and want to understand what the dashboard is showing you, jump to Reading the dashboard.

What problem does Lumear solve?

Every day, your buyers ask AI assistants questions about your category. “What's the best private-equity firm for mid-market consumer brands?” “Which luxury SUV has the best safety ratings in 2026?” “Where should I get a knee replacement in New York?”

The AI gives an answer — naming specific brands, citing specific URLs. If your brand isn't in that answer, you're effectively invisible to that buyer. Traditional SEO tools won't catch this because the “ranking” isn't happening on a SERP — it's happening inside the LLM's response.

Lumear:

  • Runs the prompts your real buyers ask, across every major AI assistant.
  • Parses every response for brand mentions, citations, sentiment, and recommendations.
  • Identifies the page on your site that should have been cited — and tells you exactly what content to add or improve so it wins next time.

How the pipeline works

  1. You add your brand, its domain, and a few competitors.
  2. You build a prompt set — either pasting prompts manually, uploading a CSV, or letting our AI generator write them based on a persona description.
  3. You start a run. Lumear sends every prompt to every selected AI assistant.
  4. While the run executes, Lumear crawls your site (and your competitors' sites) so it has structured page content to match against the AI responses.
  5. When the run completes, you get a visibility score, a list of recommendations, and a citation breakdown.
First-time tip
Most of this happens automatically the moment you add a brand with a domain. You don't need to manually trigger crawls or kick off matching. If you ever do need to force a re-crawl, the Sites page has a manual button.
