Short answers to the questions we get most often.

Which AI assistants do you support?

ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), Perplexity, Google AI Overview, and Bing AI Search. We add new platforms as they ship public APIs — if there's one missing that you need, email us.

How often should I run a prompt set?

Most teams run weekly. AI assistants change their answers slowly (training cycles, index refreshes), so daily runs add cost without much signal. If you're shipping major content changes, do a one-off run after each push to see the impact.

Why is my prompt set running against my brand instead of generally?

Because that's the question your buyers actually ask. We deliberately don't mention your brand name in the prompts (those would be vanity searches). The prompts read like real buyer questions; we then check whether the AI's answer happens to include your brand — that's the visibility signal.

How is “mentioned” different from “recommended”?

Mentioned = your name (or any alias) appears anywhere in the response. Recommended = you're framed as a top pick (“the best choice”, “I'd recommend”, ranked #1 in a list). A response can mention you without recommending you (“Acme is one option, but I'd go with Beta”). The dashboard's Mentioned but not recommended widget surfaces exactly these cases — they're the highest-leverage gap to close.

Can I track multiple brands?

Yes. Add each as its own brand. There's no hard limit. The sidebar brand picker lets you switch which brand the dashboard is scoped to. Agencies often have 5–20 brands per workspace.

Does Lumear write content for me?

We tell you exactly what content to add and where — but we don't auto-edit your site. The implementation is yours. Most teams paste the recommendation detail into their CMS workflow or hand it to a content writer.

What happens if I delete a brand?

Permanent deletion cascades to all the brand's runs, prompts, competitors, recommendations, and pages. There's a confirmation step; once confirmed, irreversible. Prefer to archive if you might want the data back.

Is there an API?

Not yet exposed publicly. Programmatic access is on the roadmap. If you have a specific workflow you want to automate, email letschat@lumear.ai and we'll prioritize accordingly.

How is my data stored?

All data is stored in our Supabase Postgres in us-west-2. Row-level security scopes every read/write to your organization. Backups are point-in-time, retained 7 days. We never share your raw run data with other customers; the cohort comparison in the trend chart uses anonymized aggregates only.
